| Application Introduction

   The HVAC system in an EV serves the passenger cabin, battery, and integrated electronic control system, requiring multi-point temperature monitoring. PTCs provide overcurrent protection for actuators like battery cooling fans and coolant pumps, enhancing system reliability and maintenance convenience.

   Function : Efficiently coordinates cabin heating/cooling and battery thermal management, prioritizing battery safety and maximizing energy efficiency (extending range).

Electronic Compressor :

 Monitor compressor temperature to protect the motor. Metal terminal sensors are used, similar to AC compressor applications.

Over-current​ protection

​PTC Power Thermistor

PTC mainly provides overcurrent protection for actuators such as battery cooling fans and cooling water pumps in HVAC systems. When the motor is stuck or the cooling water pump is stuck due to a fault, causing excessive current, the PTC in its circuit will cut off the current. After the fault is resolved, it will automatically recover without the need to replace the fuse, greatly improving the reliability and maintenance convenience of the system.
